I must admit, I'm not much of a Ferrari person, but this and C'etait un Rendezvous are doing their best to convert me.

Petrolicious got a hold of a 250 GTO...
They have officially hit it big. I can't wait for the TV show!

It's definitely one of the best Petrolicious videos I've seen to date. Not because it's a 250 GTO, but because they really honed in on what captivates me about cars the most. The way they look in motion, and the way they sound. Especially the latter. :)
Oh, another thing I found out recently. The founder of Petrolicious, Afshin Behnia, owns an Alfa 1300 GTA .
So unbelievably jealous :)

This guy is driving the car pretty hard! Good to see that!
Also, the 60s and 70s cars are the reason I really like Ferrari still. Their recent offerings haven't hit home yet for me.

I'd offer you a ride, but it's only got one seat. If you're ever around Culver City, CA, let me know and I'll be happy to have you over to check it out.

You know, watching this video gave a insight on why I love the history of motorsports so much. Because even when all the race's are over or even when the drivers of the cars have passed away, the cars are often still there. The possibility to, no matter how unlikely it may be, actually be able to experience the same feeling as those who drove them before, makes it so much more tangible than, say, a football that was used in a match in 1963.
The mechanical part that contributed to those victories and those stories has attained a soul of it's own that is likely to live on much much longer than the people that drove it.
That is what differentiate motorsport from other sports for me. The legacy is tangible. You can go and see the cars and see them out on the track, 40, 50, 60 years on from when they raced.

Great to see how small the car community is and how many of us are on Oppo!
Good work on Petrolicious and glad to see you around here!

What an excellent thought :) I like that
Similar to that, I really like what the Le Mans 24h does. Next to the podium for the drivers, they've got a podium for the top 3 cars. It's as much, if not more an achievement for the cars than the drivers.

That's fantastic, thankyou :) I'm in the UK though, so the chances of popping over for a visit are pretty slim. If I ever am in the area I think I might have to take you up on that offer.
What's it like to drive?

Agreed. It's just the noise of the V12, and the Dino cars that I like out of Ferrari's offerings. Maybe the Daytona and the 308/288.
Also, I wish we still could tag people on here. I was thinking this is total YSI-bait :)

Nobody will believe me, but my restomod 240Z makes 80% of the noise and has 80% of the look (and 15% of the presence, admittedly) for ... 1/3500th the price.

Oh I absolutely believe you :) I'm far from an automotive snob
I'd say it's got an appreciable amount of the presence. The only thing it doesn't have is the ability to make classic car speculators wet themselves. :)
